Working and treatment of
Ibuprofen - Advil |
It is strongly recommended to take this medicine with a full glass
of water unless your physician is guiding you otherwise. Ibuprofen -
Advil may interfere with the treatment of different drugs, tests
have shown that Advil causes increased levels of blood lithium by
inducing the kidneys to stop excreting them. Tests have also shown
that the intake of Advil may also cause low blood pressure and in
turn causing blood pressure medicines to stop having any effect. It
is also been noted that while taking blood thinning drugs orally
Ibuprofen should be avoided as it itself is a blood thinner and will
most likely prove be the cause of bleeding.
After taking Ibuprofen is has been recommended that the person
taking it should not lie down, at least not for 30 minutes. Tests
have also shown that stomach upsets might take place because of its
intake; thus it is advised that Ibuprofen should be taken with some
amount of food, milk or an antacid. The basis of its prescription
and dosage in children is their weight. The fine print of the side
of the box/bottle provides you with all the details and side
effects.
If Advil is taken as when it is needed and not on a scheduled time
regularly, then you should bear in mind that it is best to take them
as the first signs of pain occur because that is when they work
best! In case the intake has been prolonged and the pain has
worsened significantly then the drugs may not work just as well as
they would have earlier.
