Ibuprofen - Advil was a development by the research arm of Boots
Group during the 1960s is a drug that was approved by the FDA in
1974. The pill has been through trials and clinical testing
thoroughly. After excessive research the drug was approved for sale
in the US and other states and its treatment considered effective.
The sole use of this drug is to relieve pains of bones and muscles
and is also used as an painkiller for inflammation.
Amongst the many other NSAIDs, Ibuprofen - Advil is said to increase
myocardial infarction especially amongst high dosage users. In
pregnant women studies an increased risk of miscarriage has been
diagnosed by the use of these NSAID drugs however these are limited
and several other studies contradict these theories. The
Manufacturer of these NSAIDs gets worried about their future sales
when such theories break out.
Concerns about the drug interfering with the implantation of the
foetus have also been expressed but a clear risk has not been
established just as yet. In case these drugs are used according to
the doctors orders they may not have the undesired effects on
pregnancies neither would they increase any risk of birth defects.
However Ibuprofen - Advil is not generally the advised choice of the
physicians because there are still unexplained concerns with its
use. Considering its past history with patients Ibuprofen has not
been useless and has proved effective for future use as well. The
manufacturer is happy with its sales as well all over the world.
